Parenting Classes
My name is Elizabeth and I teach the parenting class here at CAPS. I am passionate about parenting. It’s the greatest joy of my life and the hardest BEST job to be privileged to have! I absolutely love training and equipping new parents-to-be, educating them and encouraging them to be excited about the amazing journey in which they are about to embark.
I just finished my third session of classes, and one couple in particular stood out to me. Lisa and Dan (names have been changed) came to class a little quiet, and slightly apprehensive as they had suffered two miscarriages before becoming pregnant with their little girl. As the class went on, they became more and more engaged, took notes every time and even started coming early to chat with me. When the last class finished, they expressed how thankful they were for the support and education that was provided in the parenting classes. Lisa even told me, “I’m actually going to miss you!” When filling out the exit survey, Dan stated, “This class exceeded our expectations, both in content and genuineness and sincerity.” Lisa emailed me after the last class and said, “You are too sweet, Elizabeth! We were talking on the way home about you and we just appreciate how genuine and intentional you are! Thank you for your kind and encouraging words, and the prayers!” I’m so thankful to be able to teach this class, bond with the students and make a difference in their parenting journey.
Please continue to refer your patients to the parenting class! The next one starts on May 23, 2024. Then we will break for the summer and offer another session in the fall.
Midwives Needed
Best Start Birth Center is closing for prenatal/labor care in March. They no longer have enough midwives to support 24/7 care. They hope to reopen in 6 months but as of now they are suspending all care.
